Philippe Colombani

Philippe Colombani  has been  posted in Havana, as Economic Advisor of the French Embassy, since 2005. Graduated from ENA (1989), he has occupied diplomatic positions in Bolivia, Mexico, South Africa and the United States. 

Before Cuba, he worked as a member of the Planning Staff ( CAP),  Special Advisor at the European Commission, and Senior Fellow at IFRI. (2001-2004).

He has also occupied positions at the Department of Treasury (Africa & Near East)  and the General Accounting Office. (France/1995-2001)

He has been an observer within the Aix Group (Joint Palestinian-Israeli Economic Group- 2004) and the Evian Group (Lausanne – WTO) and is referee at FEMISE (Euro-Mediterranean Economic Network).

He has published articles about strategic prospective, including the future of the European Union (Schuman Foundation – 2007) and in –depth analysis of world trade prospects. (World Trade Patterns in 21st century – IFRI –EU -2003).
 

He is married to Cuban painter Jeannine Achon.
