Jonathan Bedard holds a degree in international business and finance from Northeastern University and a master’s from MIT. He has traveled to more than 60 countries as he has pursued a career of entrepreneurial development, primarily in real estate. His particular interest is in developing countries.
He established CubaTradeExpo to be an annual event where companies from all over the world that do business with Cuba can network and share information. The goal is to showcase reputable people and businesses and advance dialogue that can have a lasting impact on the future of Cuba business.
Cuba has the potential to be an attractive investing opportunity with its highly educated populace, universal health care, abundant natural resources, and proximity to a large, affluent market, the U.S. Also anticipated changes in both countries hold promise for the future.
He believes that quality commerce ultimately improves the lives of ordinary people in developing countries, as can be seen in Mexico, Vietnam and Russia – and it is these benefits that have driven his desire in recent years to make a difference.
